Linda has been the Caswell Beach Town Clerk/Tax Collector since 1988; she “is” the corporate memory of Caswell Beach.

Duties of the Town Clerk office:
- Maintains official town records, ordinances, resolutions and other documents.
- Prepares meeting packets and maintains records of meetings of Board of Commissioners, Planning Board and Board of Adjustment.
- Prepares resolutions and proclamations as directed by the Mayor or Town Administrator.
- Maintains a calendar of all Town activities and meetings.
- Maintains custody of ordinances, official documents, personnel records and the Town Seal.
- Provides proper notice of all meetings of the Town Council and other Town boards.
- Serves as notary public of the State of North Carolina.
- Provides citizen assistance by fielding questions, concerns and complaints from general public.
- Coordinates the printing and mailing of Town publications
- Performs duties required for Tax Billing and Collections.
- Performs duties required for Water Billing and Collections.
- Acts as Community Rating System Coordinator for the Town.
- Assists the Mayor andTown Administrator in the annual duties required by the Emergency Preparedness Plan and Damage Assessment Team.
