As with many small and coastal communities, the use of a golf cart or Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) is a popular means of travel through Town and to local beach walkways. Whether cruising to the beachfront for the day, heading to the Oak Island Golf Course, or driving to the grocery stores and shops on Oak Island, LSVs provide a convenient, environmentally friendly, and fun option for travel.
PLEASE NOTE: Unregistered or non-street legal golf carts are NOT ALLOWED to operate on Caswell Beach Road as well as the public streets in the Town of Oak Island. Only a registered Low Speed Vehicle (LSV), Mobility Device, or Modified Utility Vehicle (MUVs) can be driven on public streets.
